In case you hadn’t noticed, Arsenal Football Club have really got their act together over the last few years, and have become one of the best sides in the Premier League. Mikel Arteta and his team have turned around fortunes at the Emirates Stadium, as the club has finally emerged from the shadows of the Arsene Wenger era. Surely it’s only a matter of time before they get their hands on the Premier League title?
As a result of this tickets for Arsenal match seats have become even more difficult to get for Arsenal fans. So we want to dedicate this blog to an in-depth look at how to buy Arsenal tickets. We’ll kick off with a look at general admission tickets, before we explore the wide range of Arsenal hospitality tickets – all the options for you to get yourself down to the Emirates Stadium.
How to get Arsenal tickets:
Arsenal Football Club General Admission Tickets
In order to buy ‘regular’ tickets for Arsenal games, you need to enter a ballot. And in order to enter a ballot for Arsenal tickets, you need to become a member… We’ll have a look at the various hoops you have to jump through now.
Becoming a member at Arsenal Football Club
In case you thought this wasn’t complicated enough, there are many different types of Arsenal Member, so we’re going to take a look at the different types now:
Gold Members
Not a reference to the Austin Powers movie, Gold Members is in fact what Arsenal call their General Admission Season Ticket Holders. As you would expect for a club the size of Arsenal, there is a waiting list for season tickets, which is currently thought to be at least 5 years, and probably more likely 10 if the team keeps on performing so well. The current cost to join the waiting list is £50 for adults and £25 for juniors.
Platinum Members
Platinum Members provides access to every match that Arsenal play at home (including FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Premier League). This package includes access to the Club Level area of the stadium, where there are exclusive dining and entertainment areas. It’s basically like an Arsenal Hospitality Season Ticket. Like with the general admission season tickets, there is a waiting list that you’ll need to join.
Red Members
This is what you’ll need if you want to join the ballot for general admission tickets on a match-by-match basis. For £34 a year, you can enter any ballots for Arsenal home matches, and if you are successful, you will be able to purchase tickets. You also get extra rewards, like being a part of the rewards programme and 10% off in the retail store.
Silver Members
If you are already a Red Member, you can upgrade your membership to Silver for a fee of £54 a season. You will be automatically put on the Silver Membership waiting list when you join as a Red Member, but you don’t have to upgrade when it is your time. The main perk of Silver Membership is that they have a different, less competitive, ballot for matchday tickets.
Junior Gunners
There are a range of packages available to junior fans, with different age-groups getting a slightly different package. All of them, other than the 0-3 membership, includes access to the ballots.
Entering a ballot for Arsenal tickets
Once you have become a member, you can enter ballots for matchday tickets. There are two different ballots, the Silver Ballot – which takes place around 6-8 weeks before the fixture. Then there is the Red Ballot which usually happens 4-6 weeks before the match.
As a general rule, you have a much better chance of getting tickets in the Silver ballot than the red. The average success for the Silver ballot is around 35%, whereas for the Red ballot it’s around 10%.
