FAQs
While we wait for more news on the tour, let’s get to know Dua Lipa a little better. We hope to answer any questions you may have about this incredible pop star – and if there’s anything you think we’ve left out, or you want any more information about Dua Lipa tickets, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and let us know.
Radical Optimism came out on the 3rd of May 2024, four years after her previous album, Future Nostalgia.
Radical Optimism was her third studio album, and the critical acclaim was backed up by huge record sales. It entered the UK charts at Number One, and topped charts all over the world. It is a record on which she took some risks, with more complex sounds and production – but it still kept that feel-good pop freedom at its core. It’s a bouncy, energetic album that was a huge hit with fans.
Where do we start?! Perhaps, we should start with a song that isn’t Dua Lipa’s…? She first burst on the scene in the UK charts when she featured on Sean Paul’s song, No Lie, in 2016. It reached the UK top 10, and was the first time that we really became aware of her (she had already had some chart success in Europe, Australia and New Zealand before this though).
New Rules was the song that really established her in this country though. It’s just an absolute banger, made it to Number One (the first solo female artist to do so since Adele two years earlier), and it was the first of her tracks to really cut through.
Then there’s Don’t Start Now, a dance classic that you can’t help but enjoy, and of course the global smash hit Levitating – featuring DaBaby – in 2020. The upbeat antidote to the difficult circumstances the world found itself in.
And what about Cold Heart? The unexpected collaboration with Elton John which became Lipa’s biggest hit in the UK (so far), spending six weeks at number one.
Recently, Houdini, from 2023, has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike – a psychedelic-pop masterpiece.
Errr… Yes! In terms of nominations, she has 16 Brit nominations, ten for the Grammys and seven NME awards. Her first major award was in 2017 when she won the British Breakthrough Act award at the Brits (she’s won another six Brits since!).
Her first Grammy was won in 2019 (Best New Artist), the same year that she won Best Dance Recording for Electricity. In 2021 she won Best Pop Vocal Album for Future Nostalgia. In 2020 she broke the Guinness World Record for “Most tickets sold for a live-streamed concert by a solo female artist” – a record you can’t imagine will be broken any time soon (global pandemics notwithstanding).
We’re just scratching the surface here, she’s won all kinds of awards all over the world – MTV VMAs, Vogue Woman of the Year awards, YouTube Creator Awards, Latin American Music Awards. The eclectic mix of accolades highlights just how her music translates all over the world.
Dua Lipa has always been around music. Her father was the lead singer of a Kosovan rock band called Oda, and he would play music at home for her – everything from David Bowie and Bob Dylan to Radiohead and the Stereophonics.
She went to school in London, and took music lessons there, including learning the cello. However, she didn’t get in the school choir, as she was told she couldn’t sing… There’s a lesson there about perseverance. She took singing lessons from the age of nine, and when her family moved to Pristina, back in Kosovo, her love of music grew even more.
Aged 15, she moved back to London to do A-Levels, and from there she attended a Theatre school part time. She started uploading videos of herself covering songs from artists like Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera – and she started getting noticed. She was modelling for Topshop at the same time, and got an acting job for an advert for The X Factor, in which she played a singer… her first taste of fame. From there she got a manager and a producer. She was up and running.
She was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar (not a joke), when she signed a record deal with Warner Bros. in 2014. She started releasing music in 2015, mainly in Europe. She had number one hits in Slovakia, Poland and Belgium. She was spotted by DJs at the BBC as well, appearing on the long list of artists to watch in 2016. From there, everything took off.
If you are lucky enough to get Dua Lipa tickets you can expect a night of unrelenting fun. Yes, Dua Lipa is cool, and yes, Dua Lipa’s song writing touches on serious and emotional subjects, but that’s all packaged in a show that is unashamedly focused on making sure every person in the venue has an amazing time.
Expect confetti cannons, lasers, a catwalk, a stage suspended in the air, dances and a set list packed full of catchy dance numbers that will get the audience on their feet and moving. If the Future Nostalgia Tour was anything to go by, you’ll be in for a treat.
About the Drake UK Tour
Recently, Drake announced his new It’s All A Blur tour, which kicks off on 16th June 2023. This is the artist’s first major US tour since 2018. He’s joined with fellow rapper 21 Savage. It’s been some time since Drake was in the UK, as his last tour was the Assassination Vacation tour in 2019. His new tour supports his newest album, Her Loss, which is a collaboration between himself and 21 Savage. No official setlist has been released, but fans have speculated that Drake will perform songs such as Wu-Tang Forever, Best I Ever Had, Headlines, Rich Flex and Legend. Her Loss has been met with rave reviews. Critics have stated new album is another reason Drake is an icon for our generation. 21 Savage and Drake are able to use their chemistry to create a cohesive, engaging album with stellar beats and crisp lyrics. Drake’s made it clear he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Drake, or Aubrey Drake Graham, was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His first claim to fame was as an actor on the hit teenage drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. While acting, he released his debut mixtape in 2006 titled Room for Improvement. He recorded and released more mixtapes, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment. In 2010, Drake released his first full-length album, Thank Me Later, followed by Take Care in 2011. Take Care won the Grammy Award for best rap album. Two years later, he released Nothing Was the Same, which solidified in the hip-hop/rap scene. Drake’s fourth album, Views, was on the Billboard 200 for 13 non-consecutive weeks. Without slowing down, he released Scorpion in 2018, Certified Lover Boy in 2021, and Honestly, Nevermind, and Her Loss in 2022. During all of this, Drake became the global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors basketball team and founded his record label, OVO Sound. After winning multiple awards and releasing top-charting albums back to back, Drake shows no sign of letting up.

The Assassination Vacation Tour supported Drake’s 25-track album, Scorpion. Drake is no stranger to filling venue after venue and stadium after stadium worldwide; this tour was no different. He was supposed by Tory Lanez during this tour. The second Drake takes the stage, the crowd erupts into screaming and dancing while starting with Mob Ties. Song after song, the stage evolves to keep up with the setlist, and the crowd is wholly absorbed in the music as each beat drops. Like a true showman, Drake’s performances are more than just him on stage rapping. He includes steam, flashing lights, digital screens, and rotating themes that elevate the atmosphere. As the show continues, Drake thanks all his fans, from day one supporters to people who found him due to Scorpion. He ends the show with an emotional video montage about his career. As the video fades, he plays his award-winning song God’s Plan. Drake ends the show with a motivational speech about how his songs are there for people during hard times. The digital screen resembles fireworks as confetti gently falls over the stadium.
Whenever Drake announces his next UK tour, Events Hospitality wants you to be prepared for an unforgettable night. To help you prepare for the show, we’ve compiled some tips and recommendations on what to prepare beforehand. The first, and probably most important, is finding the right outfit. There’s nothing wrong with looking your best, but we recommend wearing comfortable clothes so you can easily move around. Even if you bought a ticket with a seat, you’d be on your feet dancing, singing, and jumping around to your favorite songs. To avoid unnecessary stress, have an agreed-upon plan to arrive early at the venue and get home safely. Whether that includes taking advantage of ride-share programs or driving yourself, having a plan lets you worry about what songs are coming next instead of how you’re getting home. Another recommendation would be to invest in a pair of high-fidelity earplugs. These earplugs are designed to turn down the volume without muffling to show. Our last recommendation is to keep your phone as charged as possible. Avoid needing to make a phone call with a dying phone.

Get Ready for Dua Lipa Next UK Tour
Dua Lipa is everything you want from a pop-star. From the moment she released her eponymous debut in 2017, you could just tell she was destined for the very top – a position she secured by headlining Glastonbury in June. She’s effortlessly cool, she can dance and has a knack for incredibly catchy feel-good pop songs. She’s a bit different, perhaps in part due to her Albanian heritage (you don’t get many Albanians in popular culture), and her background as a model means she has the look.
She’s broken world records (most monthly listeners on Spotify), she’s had loads of awards and has sold out concerts all over the world. Her Radical Optimism tour is still going on – later in the year she will be in the US and Asia, as well as a one off show at the Royal Albert Hall in October.
There will be more opportunities to see her in the UK in 2025 – she has already announced dates at Wembley and we think there will be more Dua Lipa tour dates announced soon. As soon as they are, we will be able to offer you tickets.
You see, as soon as concert tickets come available, there will be a mad rush to buy. What we can offer is a more relaxed buying experience, and a concert experience that has a little bit extra. We have VIP packages at venues in London and all over the UK. So just come straight to us
