At Events Hospitality we only offer premium tickets and official hospitality packages. We also only sell tickets or packages that we have in hand, to ensure availability for our clients (many companies out there will sell the tickets and then attempt to procure them afterwards to fulfil the order).

We know how stressful it can be trying to work out which companies are genuine, especially when there are so many out there. As one of the newer ones, we also know how much harder we have to work to prove ourselves. That’s why we offer a 100% money back guarantee if we don’t deliver your tickets. To ensure you’re dealing with a reputable company please call us on 0208 053 0278 to ask any questions, or view more information about us here.

Wherever you are buying your tickets from, make sure you do your research. Take a look at online reviews, ask to speak to previous customers or verify with the venue that the company you are using are official hospitality agents.

No, bags are not permitted into the stadium, it is a no-bag stadium and there are no storage facilities.

Tickets for Liverpool games will be sent via email, around 5 days before the game. These are mobile tickets, downloaded through the email. On purchase, we will ask you for a name and email address for each guest, to send the tickets to prior to the game.

This will be explained to you during the purchase, as it depends on the package you purchase. You can also see various stadium maps at the bottom of the page.

All Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (and have a ticket themselves). Children are allowed in most hospitality facilities, as long as they have the relevant ticket.

At Events Hospitality we only offer premium tickets or hospitality packages, we don’t have access to general admission tickets. Packages are listed in the event itself, but if you cannot find what you are looking for in any way please email us and we will be able to help.

Yes, but these are always in high demand. If you are interested in an away game for Liverpool then please email us for options.

The nearest train station to Anfield is Liverpool Lime Street, about 2 miles away, which is also the main train station for the City. On a matchday the 917 goes from the station to Anfield on a regular basis. There are also several buses from the city centre (Queen Square Bus Station) directly to the ground (68, 168, 14 and 19).

There is limited official parking around the ground for those who are driving, although plenty of unofficial car parks are available a little further out.

Anfield is one of the most traditional football grounds in the UK but also has some excellent hospitality facilities. There are several different lounges available, from informal lounges through to full VIP packages in the new Stand. It can be confusing to know which one is best for you or your clients, so please contact us to find the package best suited for you.

This will depend on the hospitality package you have for Liverpool games. Most lounges are informal, which allow shirts, jeans and trainers. However, some of the top end lounges are more formal and a require certain attire, which we will advise on purchase.

A Guide to Anfield Stadium

Introduction

AnfieldHome to Liverpool Football Club, Anfield is one of the most iconic stadiums in world football. Now that the team are finally beginning to recreate some of the success that the club experienced in the 70s and 80s, going to a Liverpool match is one of the most sought-after experiences in sport. Looking up at the famous Kop belting out You’ll Never Walk Alone pre-match is an unforgettable experience (almost as good as Liverpool fans claim it is).

There are various routes to getting tickets for Liverpool games, whether it’s for cup or Premier League matches. Your options range from general admission to exclusive hospitality packages and executive boxes. In this article, we are going to be looking at the Anfield stadium, and your various ticketing options if you would like to visit Anfield stadium.

A brief history

Anfield Guide - HistoryAnfield actually has a history that predates Liverpool FC. It was built in 1884, a good 7 years before Liverpool Football Club was formed, and was initially rented by neighbours from across Stanley Park, Everton FC.

When Everton got into a dispute with the owners about the rent in 1981 they moved out. One year later, the newly-founded Liverpool moved in and Anfield became their home.

In 1895 famous engineer Archibald Leitch designed a new main stand, capable of holding 3,000 people. In 1903 a new Anfield Road stand was erected, and three years after that a new stand was constructed along the Walton Breck Road end – the Spion Kop stand.

The stadium continued to grow in the early 20th century, and in 1958 Anfield set its record attendance of 61,905 for a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As Anfield became all-seater towards the end of the 20th century, Liverpool contemplated moving away and even obtained planning permission for a new 60,000-seater stadium at Stanley Park, but these plans fell through.

They developed Anfield instead – adding 8,500 seats to the Main Stand in 2016, and an extra 7,000 seats has been made available in the redeveloped Anfield Road Stand which opens in the 2023/24 season – the capacity of Anfield is now up to 61,000 once complete.

Quick Facts

  • The Kop is named after the Battle of Spion Kop – a battle in the Boer War. The clash was fought near a steeply rising bank, which people likened to stadium stands of the time.
  • Anfield was named after Annefield, Wexford, by the mayor of Liverpool, who was Irish.
  • At its peak, The Kop could fit in 30,000 people, all standing.

Why go?

Anfield, LiverpoolAnfield is so iconic that its appeal stretches much further than just to Liverpool fans. It is a stadium steeped in history, which is celebrated by the museum and stadium tours. The hospitality packages and VIP tickets offer you the opportunity to watch the match in luxury, and these days the football isn’t bad either.

Liverpool are one of the most exciting teams in the world to watch at the moment, so it is well worth experiencing it in person.

Of course, to say that you have stood on The Kop and sung You’ll Never Walk Alone is a must for any Liverpool supporter.

What are the facilities like?

Anfield LFCAs we alluded to above, Anfield has undergone a lot of work in recent years, and as such, so in many places, it has a much more modern feel to it than you might expect from a 130+-year-old football stadium. All of the concourses have bars, toilets and match day programme sellers, with disabled access in every stand. It’s a traditional ground, so in areas that haven’t had any attention you don’t get a ‘modern’ experience, but this is largely part of its charm (and something some grounds now lack).

The stadium shop is located by the museum, underneath The Kop, which is where you go for the stadium tours as well. The ticket office is near there as well.

The one sticking point over the years, as it is at most stadiums, has been the internet connection. Fortunately, the club has launched WiFi throughout the stadium – available on the concourses of every stand.

What are the premium tickets, VIP and Hospitality options?

Anfield - VIP facilities

Hospitality tickets make up a big percentage of a football club’s allocation in the modern age, so it is no surprise that Liverpool FC have a huge selection of hospitality packages for Liverpool supporters. It is a key feature of the new Anfield Road Stand, which has taken the number of hospitality tickets up from 3,500 to 7,000.

There is a good variety of options – you can sit in Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand, Anfield Road Stand or Main Stand to watch the match, and the pre-match hospitality ranges from new atmospheric sports bars, self-service buffets, through 4-course meals with table service and more.

Here at Events Hospitality, we offer on-site hospitality packages as standard, but can source off-site if you wish. Our favourite hospitality package at Anfield is probably Brodies Bar – the brand new facility in the Anfield Road Stand. Modern and spacious it is also one of the most cost-effective Liverpool hospitality packages. The bar itself is a vibrant, social venue where you can soak up that pre-match buzz while enjoying some incredible street food and a few drinks – and then you get to take your seats behind the goal in the new stand, offering incredible views of the Kop. You even have the chance to meet a former Liverpool legend in the bar!

Our other hospitality package at Anfield is the Premier Club, located in the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand. With access to the famous Shanks or Paisley Lounges, it offers more central seats (around the penalty area) and a comprehensive dining experience (two course buffet), making it popular with those who want to enjoy a bit more luxury, while still enjoying the most important part of Anfield – the atmosphere.

In the Main Stand, the Anfield Beat Lounge celebrates the link between sport and music in Liverpool and is the ideal lounge to soak up the atmosphere before the game. Dining and drinks are casual, but the social aspect of this lounge is its true attribute. There are various other packages available, such as the Carlsberg Dugout (similar to the Anfield Beat), Bootroom and Sevens & Eight Lounges (sit down and buffet meals) and then at the top end you have the Beautiful Game lounge and 1892 Lounge. The 1892 Lounge is top-end hospitality, one of the newer and more modern facilities in the ground. It’s an all-bells-&-whistles experience, with a 4-course meal, inclusive alcohol and all the nice touches you would expect from such a premium package.

If you are interested in experiencing one of these superb hospitality packages, or you would like some advice on which one would be best for you, please get in touch on 0208 053 0278 to discuss.

How to get to Anfield Stadium?

Anfield Guide - how to get toAnfield is located just 2 miles outside of Liverpool city centre, so it is possible to walk that distance from Liverpool Lime Street station if you are travelling by train. The club have a dedicated team based at the station to help direct you or show you to buses that will take you directly to the ground – just be warned that the closer you get to kick-off time, the busier these get.

A taxi from the city centre to Anfield shouldn’t cost you more than £10 – again depending on the time and how busy it is.

As with many stadiums of this vintage, it is located in a built-up residential area, which can make travelling by car quite difficult, especially with regards to parking – be sure to secure a parking space somewhere before you set off as many of the areas have strict residential parking schemes. Most roads around the Stadium are closed a few hours before and after the game as well.

What is the area around Anfield like?

Anfield, LFCAnfield is an area that an estate agent would describe as ‘up-and-coming’… To be fair it has undergone a fair bit of regeneration in recent years, but there is not much to do around the stadium other than visit a few of the pubs on match days.

For a pre-match drink, there are a few traditional boozers around the ground, such as The Albert, The Sandon and The Park. These get very busy with fans and tourists pre-match, so can sometimes be hit and miss. Your best bet is to spend the start of your day in Liverpool city centre – it’s packed full of bars and restaurants for every taste so if you’re looking for a place to go before or after the match, you’ll find plenty more options here. Then head to the ground a couple of hours before kick-off, to take it all in.

How can I get tickets to Liverpool games?

ANfield, LFCWith some difficulty! Liverpool have 27,000 season ticket holders, and a waiting list thought to be over 70,000 – so there is plenty of competition for tickets.

General admission tickets are sold by the club, and you have to buy an Official Membership to stand any chance of getting one. They have a few different options which you can access via the club’s website.

At Events Hospitality, we have premium hospitality, VIP and corporate tickets and packages available. If you are interested in one of these you can contact us at [email protected] for the games and packages available.

Best event at Anfield?

If the last few years are anything to go on, when Manchester City visit Anfield, it is likely to have a huge influence on who wins the Premier League, so always a fixture to look out for. Other than that, the Merseyside Derby vs Everton is always a fiery affair, as it is when Manchester United play.

Away from football, Anfield hosts plenty of concerts during the summer months, including The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Eagles.

Most niche event?

Anfield hosted a basketball match featuring The Harlem Globetrotters in 1958!

Cost

General admission tickets start from as little as £9 up in the gods, sadly these are nigh on impossible to get, alongside any other standard tickets, as they are purchased by members and season ticket holders. If you’re looking for a one-off, premium tickets and hospitality start from around £200 per game.

Type of events

Football and concerts, with potentially more sports to come at a later date

Top Tip for visiting Anfield Stadium

If you haven’t been before – start early. Make a proper day of it starting in the City, visiting a few pubs and getting to know the locals. Then get to Anfield in plenty of time to soak up that pre-match atmosphere, talk to people and take it all in.

If you have any questions or would like to understand the best options for tickets at Anfield, please email us and we will be happy to help.

Will there be increased hospitality in the new Anfield Road Stand?

The new Anfield Road stand was supposed to be completed in time for the start of the 2023/24 season but suffered delays into the season. As you would expect for a modern football stand, it significantly increased the number of corporate and hospitality seats within the stadium – there are now 5,200 extra general admission seats and 1,800 extra lounge or hospitality seats compared to when the old stand was there.
